Arthur R. Herrick
New England impressionists Aldro T. Hibbard and Anthony Thieme were his teachers and his friends. Like his contemporaries, Gloucester, Rockport, and scenic points along the North Shore of Massachusetts as well as New Hampshire's snow-covered mountains figured large in his oeuvre. An estimated 370 works by Arthur R. Herrick Sr. (1897-1970) are owned across the U.S. His granddaughter says she has another 300 of his paintings. Lesser known than...
