This cubist work on paper in bold monochrome pastel is almost a piece of optical art thanks to the series of geometric shapes that build out the bodies of the two figures.
In the foreground, the shape of a woman peers up at a grotesque assemblage that almost seems to crouch to avoid hitting a cavernous ceiling. This dynamic piece is nicely framed in a dark wood frame.
