About the artist:
Born in New York City in 1954, Carol Dahl's paintings present a realistic portrait of the contemporary city life. Growing up, Carol studied at the prestigious American School of Art and Design in NYC, as well as at Buffalo University in Upstate NY. It was after her year in Buffalo that Ms. Dahl met her greatest contributor, friend and future husband, artist Steve Dahl. Today, Carol concentrates on blending bright, but subtle tones and toy-like images to express a sharp, sensitive, often whimsical perspective of humanity and the mechanical monsters jammed in our everyday worlds. The artist's works have appeared in many publications, including Cosmopolitan and the Long Island Newsday, and her pieces reside in many private collections, galleries and frame shops in the U.S., Far East, and Canada.
