About the artist:
Born in Pusan in 1951, studied Vietnamese in college which led to 2 years of military service in Vietnam war. After the service went to USA and started to paint in New Orleans where he founded abstract expressionist group “ Idists” and moved to NYC and actively exhibited in the East Village during the 80’s. He participated in “the East village exhibit” at Bronfman center, Montreal, Saatch & Saatch in NYC, the long Island Museum of fine arts, NY, Everson museum of arts , Syracuse, NY and numerous exhibits in NYC. From 1993 started to study Tibetan buddist paintings which led to living and painting in Nepal, Sikkim, Ladakh and Tibet.
