In this untitled work, blue-and-white shapes peak out of heavy black abstract outlines.

With such a dark black, it appears as though the blue and white are hidden behind the black, composing the negative space. Greatly influenced by his upbringing in Minnesota in mill-working communities, Charles "Charlie" Hewitt works mainly in abstract compositions.
