about Capital Ideas Portfolio

"Capital Ideas" is a suite of seven original serigraphs created by Clayton Pond during the Spring, Summer and Fall of 1974.

The images are based on the capitals found at the old cast iron facades in SOHO, New York City. They are all visible from the window and fire escape of the artist’s studio on Greene Street in SOHO where he had lived for at least five years. Each print is hand-signed, titled and numbered in pencil.
