About the artist:
Corrado Alberto Mazzei aligned himself with a group of Futurist painters in Berlin in 1913. On his return to Paris, he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne from 1919, at the Salon des Independants from 1920, and at the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts from 1927. He featured at the Salon d'Automne as lates as 1946 when he showed a much-admired Woman Sleeping sculpture.
