About the artist:
Born in 1941 in Sanandaj, Iran and immigrated to Israel at the age of 17. He studied painting in Tel Aviv and then moved to Paris in 1970 to continue his artistic education. On that same year he won a first place prize for painting at the Jewish Art Museum in Paris and an honorary prize at the First International Engraving Biennale in Monaco. Abrahami’s delicate watercolours and oil paintings, combining eastern and western traditions, have been exhibited in various galleries throughout the world and acquired by some of the most important collections in the world, to include the Metropolitan Museum, the Guggenheim Museum and the British Museum. Elie Abrahami's works were exhibited in Golconda Fine Art in 1999, 2002, and 2006.
