He died in April of 1985 after one long disease. The work of Sempere is defined by the abstraction, the geometric repetition and the linearity, evolving towards the Op Art and the constructivism with elements of the kinetic art. Its personal contribution to this kinetic movement consists of its series of geometric and abstract constructions to which it prints the effect of vibration illusion and movement. Perhaps conditional by its levantino origin, the light also represents an important paper in its plastic work, using it like main element to create harmony and to organize planes. It considers his pictures like a bidimensional surface where it plays with the visual elements, the light, the color and the tones, looking for optical effects to create volumes in its repeated geometric figures. Its work includes very diverse supports, from drawings, gouaches, oils, paintings, serigraphs to iron sculptures and chromed steel. Two of their works can be seen outdoors in the Museum of Sculpture of Madrid, for which it created the railings, today lamentably painted of blue, which they suggest a peculiar effect moiré when walking next to them, and a moving body, yielded by the artist to the museum. The Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante contains a collection of its works that consists of 101 pieces and includes all the supports worked by the artist.
