This unique Eve Nethercott watercolor focuses on two views of the same woman wearing different outfits and posing in different positions.

Facing the viewer, one image of the woman is shown wearing purple and pink robes that drape elegantly off of her figure with extensive gold jewelry decorating her frame. The other view of the woman shows her facing away from the viewer wearing a plain petticoat over a white blouse and underneath a brown apron, while she wears a frilly hat often designated for maids.

Nethercott likely spent her life travelling the east coast and living in Maine. A fascination for watercolors, and teaching the others how to paint out of her home. She favors scenes of Maine, New York City, Portraits and Seascapes. Eve Nethercott passed away in 2015....
