Looking out into the shady forest floor, Eve Nethercott's rendering of several large leafy trees at the edge of a woodland area are illuminated by the sunlight shining over the nearby field.

Closer to the viewer, the trees create shadows across one another and along the marshy earth, in stark contrast to the well-lit, dry field.
