About the artist:

Florence Comas was born in Paris in 1965, in the Marais district. After studying dance and visual arts, she turned her attention to fashion design. Her focus became Haute Couture clothing and accessories, beads, embroidery, and precious materials. In 1990, she began to collage and paint, and immersed herself more deeply in the imaginative. Within a dreamlike universe, fragments of dreams along with creatures angelic and fantastic, seem to emerge from the shadows. Colors and materials are literally embroidered on the canvas, revealing to the viewer added depth and atmosphere.
