about Bucking Bronco

Bucking into the air, the horse in the rodeo ring kicks up dust from the earth as he attempts to hurl the cowboy off of his back in this dramatic Frank Wootton print.

Watching from beind the fences, other cowboys witness the success of the rodeo cowboy as he lifts his free hand while remaining in position on the bucking bronco.

About The Artist: Frank Wootton

Wootton was born in Milford on Sea, Hampshire in 1914. His mother died while Frank was still of school-age, and he was raised by his father, a seaman in the Merchant Navy. He attended art school in 1928 at the age of fourteen, winning a travel scholarship and a gold medal from the Eastbourne School of Art and a prize of £25, which he used to fund a three-month trip to Germany, painting murals. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils.
