With his skin wrinked and his heavy headdress pulled over his brow, the figure's stoic demeanor and long-lived wisdom and leadership is evident. Shown here in his traditional war-bonnet, Hook Nose and his followers believed the garment offered protection to himself and his people as long as certain rituals were followed.
