About The Artist: Guillaume Azoulay

Guillaume Azoulay was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1949, and by age thirteen was sketching and selling his drawings on the street and at fairs. He has held major exhibits in Rome, Copenhagen, Monte Carlo, Reno, Paris, TelAviv and many other cities. In 1978 two of his works were accepted into the permanent collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris. Their chief curator has said of Azoulay. About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
