about Battlesea, the T-More Mare

Incredibly realistic and full of character, Helene Alison's captivating portrait of a mare is the result of the artist's life-long love of horses and passion for dressage.

About The Artist: Helene Alison

Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Helene Alison began studying oil painting at age of nine with her mother, a portrait artist. Throughout her teen years she studied voice and pursued acting at Penn State, with a major in Theatre Arts. Summer stock, acting in local playhouses, singing in various choruses, churches, with a trio and dance band all were secondary to Helene's passion to ride a fine horse to hounds or to train a young horse to "dance"...
