About the artist:

Jean-Claude Allenbach was born in Colmar in 1947. After falling in love with the landscapes of Provence, a region that he visits regularly, he decided to start painting in 1972. As it is obvious, Jean-Claude Allenbach's paintings are bright, sunny and dominated by warm colors. They depict mostly mediterranean landscapes, bouquets of flowers or still life, they all have a calm and peaceful mood in common, in which the viewers can immerse themselves. Jean-Claude Allenbach exhibited his work regularly in France, Switzerland and Japan. He was almost sixty years old when he died.
