About The Artist: John Uht

John Uht was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1924. He studied Fine Art at the University of Illinois. Having completed his studies he moved to New York where, part from developing his own painting skills, he ran a teaching studio in a house boat on the Harlem River. He came to England in 1960, his wife being English, and now lives in Dorset. John is an accomplished sculptor as well as an artist in oil and sanguine, but perhaps is best known for his...
