About the artist:
Ka Kwong Hui was born in Canton, China in 1922. He studied painting and sculpture before moving to the US in 1948, where he worked under ceramicist Marguerite Wildenhaim. He began teaching at the Brooklyn Museum School while maintaining his studio in Manhattan.
