A challenging piece by American Pop artist Larry Rivers.

This collage-style print centers on the duality of colorism, particularly in the US. White people are encouraged to use products to get tanner while Black and other People of Color are sold dangerous bleaching products to lighten their skin. Rivers pulls clipped images of these products’ advertisements and places them all together in one place to juxtapose their contrasting messages.
