About the artist:
Louise Barnwell is a abstract French artist who uses media such as acrylic, oil, charcoal and watercolour. She likes to paint abstract paintings with bright colours to express a sentiment of peace and happiness. Artist Statement - Since my childhood, I have always drawn, painted and I was also very interested in art. I think it's because my great-grandmother was very good at watercolor and charcoal. My father is West Indian which gave me the taste of bright colors. I went to the fine arts of Calais and St Omer to perfect my technique. I have the chance to travel a lot so that I can inspire places I visit. I also like to go on the flying carpet of my imagination and inspire myself with my dreams. I do not have a particular style, according to my moods, my works can be abstract, contemporary, semi-realistic or impressionist. Last year Tate Britain gave me the opportunity to exhibit one of my collages. I exhibit locally and participate in competitions. For me art has no limit, every day I discover new artistic worlds that inspire me and that's how I intend to live my life as an artist.
