About The Artist: Lucille Sylvester

Sylvester studied at the Art Students League in NYC and the Academie Julian in Paris. She exhibited at the Municipal Gallery and the Hammer Gallery in NY and the National Academy of Design in 1944-45 and 1955. In addition to illustrations, she worked in oils painting both land- and seascapes....
