Ecuadorian (1963)
About the artist:
Luis Francisco Moscoso Gallardo was born on April 30, 1963 in Piñas, Ecuador. From a very young age he already had art on his hands, as he grew he went deeper and deeper into the creative world. He attended small courses that motivated him to explore art and at the State University of Guayaquil he enrolled in Architecture until, in the 3rd year, he said to himself: "my thing is art", and then he left architecture and dedicated himself entirely to create artistic pieces. He was surprised because the exhibitions he gave were a success and increasingly, his techniques flowed more freely. Since then, his creativity has not stopped and he is a self-taught artist who has already participated in more than 70 individual and collective exhibitions, where he has shared with renowned artists, nationally and internationally. He is currently based in Miami, Florida where he has his gallery.
His work is a syncretism that encompasses different techniques and themes, which somehow come together and merge to reconcile time and doctrine with each other and give us the most harmonious expression but also the most overwhelming creative force capable of moving us, touching us, placing us just right. where the work wants. The painter tells us: “I propose new challenges and painting is a spiritual relief; to create for me is to live. My art is timeless, it has no space or time”. Original and unrepeatable, when it comes to creating and expressing himself, he is not limited to painting the superficial, but immerses himself in each figure and paints nature and the universe itself, within a body or a face, his work breathes artistic concepts that lead us to look and enter an original and unrepeatable world, loaded with images that are in a constant fluctuation between surreal and other real elements. In this way, Luis Moscoso talks about how this universe becomes conceptual syncretic:
"my tendencies are more contemporary, from the expressive creative technical point of view."
Currently, the paintings of this great artist appear, to name a few, in the "Latin American Art" gallery, which is based in Dallas, Texas, where it is located on the great list of Latin American and Spanish painters. It also appears in the "Free Art" gallery, based in Saragosa, Spain where, together with great masters, he was also part of the V and VIII yearbook. He is also present in the "Cristina Faleroni" gallery in Argentina and in the "Busco arte" gallery in New York, among others.
As for the techniques he handles, he uses from classical techniques to the most modern, such as paints that use acrylics, mixed techniques, inks, nibs, fountain pens and he is also a watercolorist. he uses a lot of texture, marble dust, sand, resins that give his works a lot of character and artistic expressiveness. This great painter comments that: "I've always been inspired by the human figure, women, nature, love, I do not have a specific theme of life itself, art is born of flow and it may be that of a single element such as a fruit, a flower, a great artist can bring forth a great work”. And her so-called tenderness, in particular, are the ones that are definitely at the pinnacle of all her work, being crowned as the works where the maximum expressions of femininity are placed, where the faces and bodies bring with them exquisite and tender gestures, penetrating glances. , the sensation of erotic movements and freedom. Many of these paintings evoke a spiritual and transforming love, but there are also others that show us a hidden, mysterious, dreamlike side that captivates the viewer and provokes them.
