about Chagall Window: Levi

Marc Chagall (Russian/French, 1887-1985), created the series "The Jerusalem Windows" in 1962.

Each print represents a different stained glass window installed in Jerusalem at The Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center. Levi was the third son of Jacob and Leah, and he founded the Israelite Tribe of Levi.
