about Le Christ l’Horloge

An unsigned impression from a book of Marc Chagall’s (Russian, 1887-1985) lithographs.

Published in 1960 by Éditions André Sauret, Monte-Carlo. From 1960 to 1974 Chagall produced 28 lithographs for the six volumes of the Lithographs Catalogue Raisonné. In this print called "Christ on the Clock", we see Christ crucified to the cross, but he has a clock instead of a face.
