About the artist:
Michelle Rollman born 1967 Denver, Colorado. Her stylized renditions of animals at play have made Michelle Rollman an underground legend. In The Book of Practical Pussies, Rollman has asked some likeminded artists and poets for texts to illustrate her perverse and extraordinary vision. Rollman's seductive, frisky, psychotically enhanced cats betray vestigial memories of their former lives as humans; in luxury and squalor, they lounge around, show their tempers, display the sexual parts of the bodies they used to inhabit. Odd couplings and trios adorn the pages of this book, and the stories and texts Rollman celebrates take an equally askew view of the world.
