About the artist:
Murray Muldofsky studied painting, drawing, and graphic design at the Art Students League of New York. He went on to become a Madison Avenue art director but after early success, left advertising to paint full time. For the past twenty years, he has worked as a full time painter of landscapes, portraits, and still life, and has won awards for his work. He has also exhibited widely throughout the United States, and is represented in private collections across the U.S. and abroad. Working in the tradition of the masters, Mr. Muldofsky demonstrates a keen and highly nuanced understanding of light and its effects. His astute insight into his subjects allows viewers to find their own space in his paintings. Mr. Muldofsky was introduced to the world of horse racing by a friend who is a trainer. Equine Art became part of his oeuvre. He has painted a variety of different breeds for collectors. Adding to his repertoire, he has recently begun doing paintings of dogs. Through the Board of Directors of Masters of Foxhounds Association of North America, three of his paintings were in a traveling show through nineteen states, and Toronto, Canada.
