About the artist:

​Pierre Dunoyer was born in Marseille in 1949. After studying architecture and psychopathology, he began painting in 1976. The first paintings were shown during 1978 in the three exhibitions of the JaNaPa group. Living between Paris and New York from 1979 to 1986, then permanently established in Paris from 1987, he exhibited in various galleries, including: Sonnabend (Paris, 1979-80), Gillepsie-Laage-Salomon (Paris , 1982) , Nohra Haime (New York, 1985-87), Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume (Paris, 1991), Palais des Congrès (Paris, 1998), BFAS Blondeau Fine Art Services (Geneva, 2009), Farideh Cadot (Paris, 2012 ), JPNFoundation (Dubai, 2017), Museum of Modern Art (Paris, 2023). He has also participated in group exhibitions at the Villa Medici and the Palazzo Venezia in Rome, at the Palazzo della Triennale in Milan and at the Tecla Sala in Barcelona, ​​as well as in France at the Grand Palais , the National Museum of Modern Art and at the Pompidou Center . Invited by several institutions, Dunoyer gave lectures at the Ecole du Louvre , the EHESS ( Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales ) and the Collège International de Philosophie in Paris; at the Ecoles Supérieures des Beaux-Arts of Dijon, Orléans and Valence in France as well as Geneva in Switzerland. Dunoyer's paintings belong to the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), the Fond National d'Art Contemporain (FNAC) and the Manufacture de Beauvais and the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris; from the Museum of Fine Arts and the University of Villeneuve d'Ascq in Lille; from the Museum of Fine Arts of Tourcoing; from the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. Dunoyer lives and works in Paris.
