Cunningham’s unique sense of light, color, and design has made an indelible mark on the field of illustration during the past 40 years. Raised in America’s heartland, he served as an air cadet in the Navy before attending the Kansas City Art Institute and the Art Students League in New York in pursuit of his artistic dream. His award-winning images have been sought by America’s leading magazines, as well as companies such as General Electric, Mobil, Chevrolet, and American Express. The designer of ten U.S. postage stamps celebrating the 1980 Olympic Games, he was inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame in 1998.
