about Dare Beach

Looking out over the rocky seascape, Robert Genn's traditional Canadian landscape print focuses on a rest stop along the famous West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island.

Hazy in the distance, Dare Beach is just one of the many isolated locales along reservations that border the "Graveyard of the Pacific", a series of shipwrecks dating over a span of several hundred years along the water beside the route.

About The Artist: Robert Genn

obert Genn was born in Victoria, B.C. Canada in 1936. His formal training included the University of Victoria, the University of British Columbia and the Art Center School in Los Angeles, California. Recognized as one of Canada's most accomplished painters, his work is well known internationally. While his subjects are universal (he has painted in many countries), he excels in portraying Canada. About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
