Standing along the grasses at the edge of the dense forest, several totem poles carved out of large pine or cedar trees stare into the ocean in this Robert Genn print.

Representative of the Ninstints village of the Haida people who have lived on SG̱ang Gwaay llnagaay (Red Cod Island) off of the coast of British Columbia, the totem poles of the Haida people remain in their original locations although they are being left to remain unpreserved against the environment.
