About The Artist: Samuel Zulkis

b. 1914, Berlin. Immigrated to Eretz Israel 1933. Died 1995. Specialised in restoration of oil-paintings and graphics. 1944 - 1960: established a school for art together with the illustrator Elizabeth Herman from Vienna ("Zulkis-Herman studio"). Dr. Samuel Zulkis began to paint in his early teens. He received his education in Berlin, Germany, where he studied painting, history of art, medicine and philosophy.
