This photograph by Abdullah Al Jahdhami, aka Shaweesh, showed up in the history textbooks of Saudi Arabian students in 2017.

It depicts King Faisal of Saudi Arabia signing the UN Charter in 1945. However, the image was altered to include Yoda, the fictional Jedi Master from the Star Wars Universe, sitting next to him at the table. Not even the artist of the piece is sure how the image made it into the textbooks.

About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
