Painter, draftsman, printmaker, cartoonist and musician. Sotero Cosme (1905: Porto Alegre, RS - 1978: Paris, France). Brother of two musicians, Julio Grau and Luis Cosme, attended the early Conservatory of Music in Porto Alegre. The violin-playing has opened the doors to play in orchestras that accompanied silent films of the projection. At the end of the course in the early 1930s, won Gold Medal, which enabled him to travel to Europe. Back in Porto Alegre, circulated among intellectuals of the city, including Augusto Meyer and Theodomiro Tostes. Featuring design observer and spontaneous, made illustrations for the Globe Magazine and Daily News, in Porto Alegre. In Paris continued, with success, his career as advertising designer, advertising campaigns illustrating the U.S. producer of MGM's films. This capital has published a book of woodcuts titled Dessins Neuf (Nine Drawings). Prolonged stay abroad entering the diplomatic service.
