After The Brooks Institute, Stan taught photography at Every Woman's Village. A career in freelance Photography occupied five years of Stan's creative endeavors. A Renaissance man in the truest sense, Stan Solomon is a self-taught artist. Energetic colors and shapes define vividly detailed background spaces. Bold chroma acrylics define a signature theme that echoes throughout the breadth of this artist's prolific body of work. I don't have one. If there is anything to say about my work it has to be said by someone else. Julie, who has worked with me for over 25 years, says, "Each piece is like a love letter from the "Land of High Whimsy".... whatever does she mean? I think that you can attach any meaning that you want to my work. It's up to you, the viewer. Mostly, I just have fun with the paint and attempt to put the imagery in my head on canvas. Why that imagery? Where does it come from? I don't know, it just appeals to me.
