This etching by Stephen Farthing depicts a blurrier version of the famous painting of the same name by Emanuel Leutze.

Figures are obscured behind inky blobs of gray and ice chunks that were once luminous and clear and here recreated with simple white cubes. The only thing that stands out is the flag in the center of the composition, which Farthing decided to keep in traditional red, white, and blue. This etching is signed in pencil.
