About the artist:
Susan Winter is inspired by the unique beauty of each day. She works with a palette knife and pure oil pigments on white canvas to capture the temperature of light as it strikes objects. Her work is reminiscent of the California Impressionists. Winter is a member of Artsbridge, the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, the Pastel Society of America, the American Artists Professional League and a founder of the NJ Pastel Painter’s Society. Her work is in the private collections of Bruce Springsteen, Senator John O. Bennett, and the White House. Wildflowers (lithograph) won 1st place in the Basal International Arts Festival and Brush with Spring (watercolor) won 3rd prize at the Philadelphia Sketch Club. Susan teaches pastels and oils at the Art Station and does house portraits by commission.
