About the artist:

Born in 1934 in the city of Tlaxcala. He began his artistic training at the National School of Plastic Arts in 1966, remaining there until 1970. He continued his studies at the College of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1973 the French government awarded him a scholarship that allowed him to work until 1976 at the Atelier of William Hayter in Paris. In 1976 he received a silver medal in the Hall of the School of Fine Arts in Bourges, France. In 1977 he was awarded the second prize of the International Painting "niche" in Paris, and a diploma from the school of Bourges said. In 1970 he made his first exhibition.
