Portrait and subject painter, decorator and designer for textiles. Born 2 June 1880 at Blackburn, Lancashire. Studied at the Manchester School of Art, the R.C.A., the City and Guilds School, Kennington, and at the Académie Julian and Atelier Colarossi in Paris.
