About the artist:

Trinidad Osorio was born in Mexico City in 1929. He studied at the National School of Plastic Arts of San Carlos and was awarded a scholarship by the UNAM in the United States. He obtained a scholarship to venture into new techniques of painting and engraving as well as studying the works of the great masters exhibited in the United States. From 1951 to 1953 he taught Plastic Arts at the Normal School of Morelia, Michoacán and simultaneously was a professor of drawing, engraving and painting at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Morelia. Years later he held the position of interim director of the National School of Plastic Arts of San Carlos. The painter has made more than 40 individual exhibitions and more than 350 collective exhibitions, both in Mexico and abroad. One of his exhibitions taken abroad was The Mexican Art in Paris, presented in Bordeaux, Lille, Toulouse and Lyon, France; at the Dallas Museum, Texas; at the Contemporary Arts Institute in Boston, Massachusetts; at the Museum of Modern Art in Kamakura, Japan; Biennial of Barcelona, ​​Spain; National Museum of Bogotá, Colombia, and Puerto Rico. In his long artistic career he has numerous national and international exhibitions in Germany, Poland, Chevoslovaquia, China, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama, Peru and Cuba. He has works in permanent exhibition in important art galleries of Mexico. The works of Trinidad Osorio are exhibited permanently in Contemporary Editions Viart and the Aura Gallery, Gabriel Orozco, Castellanos, Alexandra, Tere Hass, Summa Artist, Alberto Misrachi, Diana Nankin and Ruic in Acapulco. His graphic work has been done in the Mourlot workshops in Paris, France and Multiarte in Mexico.
