About the artist:

Velka Edge-Olok is a true New York artist. Her deep, universally inspiring
imagination tells a much deeper story of humanity. Her art is about her
personal and our own human voyage into multiple layers of reality. Layers
that mysteriously and magically envelope and reveal ourselves.
Born with a shamanic heritage, Velka Edge grew up in New York City,
creating art as life from her young age, until the vibrant iconic times of
today, sharing it with contemporary artists and thinkers from SoHo,
Williamsburg and Bushwick, all the way to the West Coast, Europe and
Asia.

Her refined, beyond-dream-like paintings reveal the deep story of the
human journey stemming from Velka’sown essence and transformative
delving into the subconscious. Velka’sart also reveals the beautiful aspects
of the masculine, the feminine, and the inner feelings and contrasting
forces in all of us.

Velka’s voyage is ultimately about the discoveries of herself and of all of
us, as we evolve our character and explore our connections with a world
of wonder.

Her painting “Uniessence and the Music of the Spheres” was selected by Jaxa,
(the NASA of Japan) and etched on the side of the Sprite Satellite which
was launched in 2008 to represent humanity and serve as the first art
museum in space.

Her painting “Infinite Fields of Energy” was selected by Professor Charlie
Smith for the cover of the book Navigating from the Future.
Velka’swas guest and speaker at the ISDC/NASA Space Conference in
Washington DC in 2008 (speaker), Orlando in 2009, and San Diego in 2013.

Her work was presented as a featured guest in Hong Kong at the
UltraFutureExpo series. Velkaalso teaches art at TakshaUniversity,
Hampton, VA. A selection of Velka’s artwork is the property of a private
collection in the USA.
