About The Artist: Vernon Wood

Artist, printer, inventor - Vernon Wood devoted his life to being not just a jack of all trades, but a master as well! Born 1923 and dying in 1995, Wood experimented with and mastered a variety of styles from traditional landscapes to modern geometrical abstractions. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
