Willy Nava was born in the city of Arequipe, Peru in 1934. He was influenced by the local colonial architechture, and colorful landscapes. In 1964 he was awarded the prize for best latinamerican watercolorist. After spending much of his formidable years in Europe and rome he finally settled in venezuela where he quickly became just as reknown as his home country. He currently lives in Miami and frequently has expositions across the United States where watercolors are highly appreciated. His works represent his latinamerican character with urban and natural landscapes, still lifes and the human form.
