About the artist:
Zora Buchanan received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 1977 and moved with her family to Toronto, where she opened her studio. She established her business of Special Art for Special People specializing in commissioned pen line drawings of homes and buildings. In 1980, Zora focused all of her attention to painting. Zora's love of gardens and nature, and her fondness for old houses and streets, is reflected in her oil and acrylic paintings. My paintings are bursts of energy; my vibrant colours speak of the joy I experience in life. Zora is President of the Society of Canadian Artists, a charter woman member of The Arts and Letters Club of Toronto, an elected member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and an Associate member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada and her native Scotland. Her work is in many private and corporate collections.
